Some intelligent souls have taken it upon themselves to translate the Latin lyrics heard in the Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer.
Here are the lyrics in English:
A kingdom sleeps
And children make graons that are never diminished
Nor can they hope.
A man is divided.
He faces a tragedy and is sent away.
And to travel at night from destruction

And here they are in Latin:

The official PlayStation Japan website has been updated to include a new PlayStation 3 commercial featuring Final Fantasy XIII. The short clip near the end of the video shows Lightning freefalling, wielding her gun, and tossing what looks to be an explosive toward the camera.

According to an English translation of a German translation of a Japanese interview (god help us...) with Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura, 2007 is going to be a busy year for the man.
With the release of five titles, 2007 is going to be, as he puts it, a "harvest" year. Unfortunately, FFXIII won't be among those releases (which include Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+, Crisis Core, Advent Children Complete, It's Wonderful World, and one other game whose title was not mentioned).
Nomura commented that although he would like to bring out the PS3 titles, they are still very early in development. From his point of view as director of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, things are moving slowly, but the slow pace is unavoidable because necessary software (likely he is refering to the White Engine) is not yet finished. He does, however, hope to show off the game sometime next year.
